The Rose Plantation is casual elegant dining amidst a beautiful serene atmosphere.  This century-old home, built by the prominent Dwight family of Massachusetts, sits on four acres of Rose Avenue along Fountain Lake.  Eclectic china, fine silverware, stemware and linen tablecloths enhance the setting for the Americana-style food and wine that awaits the discerning evening diner.  Lunch is served in a more casual setting, consisting of delicious soups, salads, sandwiches and smoked meats.  The Rose Plantation is family owned and operated.  Come meet the on-premise owners, with a combined 60 years of hospitality experience and enjoy delectable food alongside peaceful ambiance."

A Brief History of Our Restaurant
Newspaper publisher William Dwight of Holyoke Massachusetts built the estate in 1917 as a winter retreat.
The Dwights were the "Gatsbys" of Fruitland Park. All through the Roaring ’20s, the Dwights hosted Christmas galas, Halloween masquerades, annual tennis
tournaments and dozens of socials and garden tea parties.  Mrs. Dwight was extremely supportive of the Leesburg High School Senior class.
After a handful of new owners over the century, Mr. & Mrs. Gibson purchased the property with a vision of it becoming something special for the community. They turned the century-old lakefront plantation home into an upscale boutique restaurant called The Rose Plantation.

Dress code - appropriate attire for dinner at The Rose Plantation is business casual to semi formal.  We ask that no t-shirts, flip-flops, ball caps or shorts be worn.  If you arrive in shorts for dinner you will be supplied with a complimentary pair of slacks for the evening.  This allows all guests to enjoy our dress code policy.
